WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 09.21.10
>> Gallagher-sized props to the fans, friends, and well-wishers in attendance at Friday's show! DJ Forcefed held it down as always and Kinestar wunderkind Dave mutilated a beat, namely "The Melody." Cartel resident lensman Jason Aprea bottled some of the magic and it's now available to view on the Visuals page. In other news, the blog TGIF Jamz was kind enough to feature Rhythm Ruckus, sandwiched between Notorious B.I.G. and Vampire Weekend --- just like we are on the sales charts! Bloggerhouse quite rightly pointed out the genius of Scribe1's A.Y.S.A.O.R.I.S.P. --- just as I have at many street corners! And don't forget to download Fucking Try Me II: Escape From Paradise, the brand new Doc C solo heater. Think of it as a really early Christmas present or a really late Hannukah present! More soon from Cartel HQ...
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 08.31.10

WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 10.19.09
>> Stop reading this and download A.Y.S.A.O.R.I.S.P. (!)
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 10.06.09
>> What is A.Y.S.A.O.R.I.S.P. you ask? Well, it's momentous enough to put KINESTAR on the backburner (momentarily) and significant enough to warrant its own release party (details here shortly). It's the sequel to a movie that was never filmed. It's the prologue to a novel that will never be written. It's the answer before the question, the strike after the wound, the echo without origin. And by the end of the month, it will all make sense.
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 08.21.09

WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 03.03.08
>> First off, hurrah and huzzah to the hardcore Ruckus heads that caught us at the WEATHERVANE in Brattleboro on Friday. Your respect and dedication keep us alive. Some shots from the show have been added to the VISUALS section in a misguided attempt to recreate an evening that Yankee Magazine has (probably) called "a cerebral spongebath in acid lemonade."

WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 01.24.08
The tempestuous Vermont winter has spared no living thing, sending those it can not kill into underground work colonies far beneath the Earth's crust. From a double-wide sensory deprivation tank, suspended in disbelief twenty-odd kilometres beyond the third concentric circle of Dante's Easy-Bake, Doc C sends word by wireless candygram:
>> A brand new Ruckus mixtape cut has been uploaded to our MYSPACE. It's called "We Hellabaked" and I think you'll agree. Enjoy for a limited time!
>> Rhythm Ruckus will be making their triumphant return to BRATTLEBORO, VT on FEBRUARY 29 at the WEATHERVANE MUSIC HALL. WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 12.19.07
Following a month of seclusion in their fortified soundproof bunker, deep beneath the parched alkali flats of No Fixed Address USA, Rhythm Ruckus sends word by carrier pigeon:
>> KOOL G RAP and STICMAN of DEAD PREZ will be spitting lava on the new Ruckus record "Backyard Farmacology" - set for an early to mid 2008 release. Both were recently confirmed, joining an already inpenetrable lineup including VAST AIRE, COTTONMOUTH TX and CHRIS BALLEW of THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
>> The album is 75% done, with tracking to be completed this month at Q DIVISION STUDIOS in Somerville, MA. This is the same studio where the PIXIES recorded their seminal "SURFER ROSA" LP, which is fucking wild.
>> Photos from last month's show at the TINDER BOX in Brattleboro, VT have been added to the new VISUALS section, along with some snaps of Doc and Scribe in the WVEW studio on BUSTED MUFFIN RADIO. Some videos of that appearance have surfaced on YouTube as well.
>> Rhythm Ruckus will be returning to the above-mentioned Tinder Box sometime in early 2008 but (GET READY KIDS) they have just confirmed a show on 2/29/08 at the WEATHERVANE, right next door! Unfortunately, it's 21+ so get your fake IDs ready. This is just an announcement; expect a full promo cavalcade closer to the date.
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 11.18.07
First off, salutations and congratulations to the legions of Ruckus devotees that flooded the TINDERBOX in BRATTLEBORO, VT on Friday for the cataclysmic event that was our first hometown show in half a decade. If you were there, you might be reading this from a hospital bed or a jail cell. We're writing it in both. Photos and videos from the show will be posted here later this week, so keep an eye out.
Rhythm Ruckus will be participating in UVM's annual Battle of the Bands on 12/1 at 242 MAIN in BURLINGTON, VT. Scribe and Doc have already inhaled the cosmos and plan to exhale, resulting in perfect dark and complete annihilation of all those in attendance, at 6:00 PM sharp. We'll also be doing some on-air promo for the show on BIG HEAVY WORLD radio in Burlington on 11/24 so tune in, drop out, and fuck off.
NEWS SPOUT: Remaining VERMONT HOMEGROWN IS BACK T-shirts are available in 3X only. Wearing one may prevent pregnancy but will not reduce the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases. // On Saturday night, BUSTED MUFFIN RADIO was kind enough to let us come through and drop three new joints live on the air. Big shouts to Forcefed and Dooooooooom for making it happen and providing the champagne of beers (MGD). // VERMONT HIP-HOP NEWS had some kind words for us recently, calling us their "favorite Vermont hip-hop act." We're ours too.
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 11.07.07
After months of hibernation and controlled-substance group work, Rhythm Ruckus makes their long-awaited return to the stage FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16 at THE TINDER BOX in BRATTLEBORO, VERMONT. WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 11.06.07
Rhythm Ruckus reports from the barren, craggy tundra of No Fixed Address, USA: "Rations have been stocked and emergency drills have been conducted at our fortified bunker in [REDACTED]. Trading flapjacks for flack jackets, the deadbeatdrum administers last rites of spring to a flagging metropolis." In lieu of explanation, a BRAND NEW SNIPPET from the forthcoming "Backyard Farmacology" LP has been uploaded to www.myspace.com/rhythmruckus, along with MASTERED FINAL MIXES of three previously available tracks.
NEWS SPOUT: 5G Productions will be contributing their talents to the new Ruckus album // Dub Physics calls Rhythm Ruckus "the closest thing to Slayer that Vermont hip-hop will ever see" - we couldn't agree more // New England shows to be announced soon - stay the fuck tuned!!!
WORD FROM THE RUCKUS 09.15.07
Doc C and Scribe1 check in from their fortified bunker at No Fixed Address, USA with a burning missive. Their new full-length LP is titled "Backyard Farmacology." Hardcore fans may note that this was also the title of Rhythm Ruckus' long-out-of-print 2003 epic, which was recalled and burned at the insistence of Former Presidental Advisor Karl Rove, claiming that they had "bit his style." The album features principal production from Maryland beatsmith Black Milhouse, along with beats by underground veterans Benefit and R'Thentic (C-Rayz Walz, Wordsworth, De La Soul), plus instrumentals from Becklo, Johnny Dypso, Doc C and Scribe1.
The legendary Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox dropped by during an August session, discussed world religions, Napoleon, Egypt, and the Eye of Rah before spitting 24 indelible bars and evaporating. The irrevent and incendiary Cottonmouth TX contributed a spoken word piece and long-time collabotor Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States of America is set to sing a chorus. All vocals were recorded and engineered at The Dojo in Brooklyn by End of The Weak grand poobah and Solid Ground MC/producer Nonezeo Goodlove, with assistance from Jess Jamez.
While no official release date has been set, Rhythm Ruckus is currently entrenched in scrupulous post-production at an undisclosed location. More information will be released when the statute of limitations expires.
